Empowering growth through learning at Rocket
The Journey is a platform that offers internal and external learning and educational opportunities related to career growth for team members and leaders within Rocket Companies. It’s comprised of a variety of courses, programs, soft skills training and resources specific to business areas within the organization.
In collaboration with a team of designers and copywriters, our efforts were directed at creating a uniform visual appearance and tone of voice. We focused on ensuring that the identity and messaging were consistent, engaging, and aligned with the company’s principles; creating a user-friendly experience that supports professional development and enhances organizational culture.
Imagining a learning and development platform
The Journey’s program categorization process involved structuring its diverse offerings of courses, programs, soft skills training, and business area-specific resources into clear, intuitive categories, informed by team member research. As I worked alongside designers and copywriters, we created this framework to support career growth and professional development while maintaining a clear identity and tone of voice. We organized the content around business areas and user needs to create a user-friendly experience, reinforce the company’s principles, and support the company’s goal of fostering organizational culture and career advancement.
Developing a Unified Visual and Digital Presence
My team and I focused on creating a cohesive identity that seamlessly integrated print materials and digital platforms. This involved designing a consistent visual language, including typography, color schemes, and graphic elements. Simultaneously, we worked to design the digital presence to support accessibility, user-friendliness, and alignment with the brand’s tone of voice. This phase emphasized bridging physical and digital touchpoints to provide a unified experience.
